Wednesdays 8:15-11:30 pm, Bachata Lessons and Open Dancing, Que Bueno Suerte on S. Pearl St. near Wash Park.
Come join many dancing students and Bachata enthusiasts for a night of learning beginning to intermediate Bachata dancing with open floor dancing till Midnight. You can RSVP through our groups as we have scheduled all groups to go on the First Wednesday of each month or just show up any week and make some new friends. Cost is $10 cash at the door per person and includes the lesson.
Saturday, May 11th 6 pm. Copa Cabana Murder Mystery Mixer, 5280 Singles World Headquarters, SW Littleton.
Our favorite theme in our murder mystery mixers, spoofs the song, “Copa Cabana”, as we laugh with new characters added to the story and pair groups down to 4 people to solve the cold case of who killed Tony, many years ago. Dress in 90’s garb or something you might wear to the Copa Cabana. Admission is only $25 cash at the door, and includes a burrito/nacho buffet, soft drinks, (tea, lemonade, water), one adult beverage, (a margarita, bottle of Blue Moon or glass of wine), and of course the murder mystery mixer. Every team that correctly guesses the killer, will receive a prize for each member, (worth up to $12).
Wednesday, May 15h 5:30 pm, Happy Hour, Tap & Burger-Westminster.
Join us for a light and casual happy hour in Westminster. If the weather cooperates we can sit outside. They have happy specials until 6 pm on food and drink. Come after 6 pm and present your 5280 Discounts card to receive second drink of equal or lesser value free when you pay regular price for the first drink.
Thursday, May 16th, 6 pm. Small Groups Night 5280 Singles World Headquarters.
We are forming small discussion groups that will start in the fall. Come to sign up or co-lead a group. We will spend the first hour meeting and greeting, with the second hour organizing our small groups and having an open group discussion. Admission is free, light snacks and refreshments provided.
Saturday, May 18th 8 am. Cabelas in Lone Tree. Adventure to Bishop’s Castle.
Join us for a day trip special adventure to Bishop’s Castle. We will carpool from Lone Tree at 8 am, then proceed to the castle located about 2 hours away. After exploring this marvel of achitecture and design, will proceed to lunch in Westcliffe area for lunch viewing the Sangre De Cristos Mountain range. Afterwards, each car full of people can decide where to continue their adventure, including a visit to Skyview Drive in Canon City, Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs or the Mt Holy Cross
Winer in Canon City. They can also hike anywhere along the trip back or choose to cruise straight back home.
Sunday, May 26th, 3 pm, Summer Kickoff Happy Hour, Deep Roots-RINO.
Come kickoff the summer of 2024 with a happy hour at the Deep Roots Winery. Admission is free. Learn about our free summer concerts schedule, joining small support/discussion groups, while you can sign up for our whitewater rafting trip or volunteer for our Gourmet Barbecue. We our also adding event hosts for our 50’s-60’ss group if you’d like to join the team of event hosts.

Enjoy a full or half day of whitewater rafting along the Arkansas River.
Full Day, (best value)-Check in is at 9:30 am at the office of Browns Canyon Rafting in Buena Vista. The price for this trip includes round trip transportation to the Arkansas River from their office., guided rafting trip and free lunch. The price for our group is only $130, instead of paying the regular price of $155+ per person. Please call in your reservation to 719-275-2890 before you RSVP as that is the only way you will reserve your spot. Use the discount code 5280 to purchase your trip to pay only $130 per person. To carpool please arrive at the lot in Morrison by 7:15 am, as it can take up to 2 hours to get to Buena Vista. When you RSVP here, please let us know if your are doing the full or half day trip. They will provide a life preserver/vest and a helmet, but you can rent a full wet suit as well. Leave your keys in the carpool car or office and all things you don’t want to lose in the river in the car as well. You will need to bring a full set of dry clothes to change into when you return to the office, as well as a towel.

Saturday, June 30th 11-4 pm, Gourmet BBQ! Dekoevend Park, Centennial.
Join us for our first ever Gourmet BBQ. We wil have special fixins including upgrade hamburger patties and hot dogs, veggie burgers all with several different toppings to customize your burger or dog. We will also be upgrading the sides as well. Lemonade, tea and ice water provided as well as dessert items. Admission is only $25 per person cash at the door. Present your 5280 Discount Card to receive $5 off admission. We’ll also have cornhole, volleyball and other outdoor games to play as well as any others brought by our attendees. Space is limited to 100 guests for this special event so RSVP and get there during the first two hours. To volunteer, please contact us at denverfunnetwork@gmail.com by June 15th. We’ll need to have someone at the gate checking people in for 4 different shifts as well as a grill person to work one of the 4 shifts on the grill. Volunteers will get in free. We could use 2 set up people at 10 am as well.
